In typical fashion, our second day in Los Angeles began with brunch, this time at the Blu Jam Cafe. This place was also pretty good but I think Alcove stole my heart 🙂 I’m all about their cute patio and yummy food.

We then decided to do some touristy stuff and headed off to El Pueblo de los Angeles, a cute little area that looks at the early history of the city. There were stalls selling all kinds of things…

Then we checked out a traditional adobe house…

Before looking around an old fire station, complete with horse-drawn fire engine!

Before swinging by the Walt Disney Concert Hall nearby. This building is so beautiful, I’d love to see a ballet or an opera there.

Then it was a quick stop to Pinkberry for more fro yo and off to Palm Desert, where we’ve been rotting by the pool all day. More to come on that whenever we drag ourselves out to do something interesting 🙂
