So I always wear bikinis, because they’re easier to tan in, easier to find ones that fit (as you can get different sizes for your top and bottom) and mostly because I’m 25 and I may as well! Lately though I’ve had such a hankering for a cute one-piece – some of the ones I’ve seen online are so cute and not at all befitting of the standard ‘mumsy’ image that swimsuits conjure up. However, my searches around Union Square have so far proved fruitless…. All the gorgeous one-pieces I’ve seen are designer and thus cost around $300+ – not what I am willing to spend for a swimsuit sadly! Tacky mono-kinis need not apply…
Anyway, Net-a-Porter has provided lots of swimsuit inspiration with the ones below, and I’m still hopeful I’ll find something cheaper before my holiday! A recent foray to Victoria’s Secret did result in a new bikini though, will post on that one later 😉
3.1 Phillip Lim, $275Â – super cute and nautical
Violet Lake, Caruso, $225Â – really fun colour and I like the one-shoulder detail
Melissa Odabash, Savannah, $205 – my favourite of all the above. Really simple, it kind of looks like a Bond girl suit!
