So this week has been another hectic one, had my last class of my Masters programme and finished off one final presentation and two papers… Now it’s back to the real world, eek! Next up was packing for our trip and trying to get ready to go!
Can’t wait for some sun as we head for LA today but just quickly thought I’d share some of the things I’ve been appreciating lately – no surprises that they revolve around food, drink and stationary!
I had a very yummy burger at Rose’s Cafe in the Marina/Cow Hollow area (I can never quite figure out where the one ends and the other one begins!). Apparently they have an awesome brunch too which I am now desperate to try, it’s a very cute little spot with outdoor tables for when the weather is cooperating! Plus it’s location on Union Street makes it perfect for pottering around lots of cute shops afterwards 🙂
Trader Joe’s Vinho Verde. This stuff is basically my equivalent of kryptonite, it’s so delicious and super cheap. I bought it the first time to take to a party (hey, I’m a student!) and was attracted to the $3.99 price tag, as well as having really enjoyed lots of yummy vinho verde over the years on holiday in Portugal. This wine is amazing, it’s lightly sparkling and really refreshing, I love it. I actually buy it now for general consumption as well as party-time drinking!
One of my close friends from the UK got engaged this week so as I am unable to celebrate with her in person I went on the hunt for a cute engagement card. I found this one in the Paper Source branch on Chestnut in the Marina, I liked that it was nice and modern and not too gushing. This will soon be winging its way to England!
