So I can write this without fear of my mother calling to lecture me (she doesn’t know the address of my blog) but I’m seriously considering getting a tattoo. I’ve thought about this for a few years and am kind of thinking now if I’m 25 and still tempted it’s more than some sort of adolescent rebellion?
The only things I’m still deciding about are the location (either on my ribs or my foot) and what exactly I want it to say – I want script of some description and I have a few ideas but I’ve still not settled 100%.
Some of the tattoos I’ve found that I think look good include:
Nikki Reed, image from here.
This tattoo of a feather (which I wouldn’t get personally but I think it looks beautiful just the same), from here.
Foot tattoo, from here.
I also have a ton more on my Pinterest page, there are so many beautiful tattoos floating around out there!
What do you think about tattoos – yay or nay?

Definite yay! I do admit that I have one “California License Plate” aka “tramp stamp” from my younger days but I’m now working on a large piece of artwork on my back that I consider to be art. But hey, that’s me while my mom would say “How could you do that to your body?!?!” haha..
Tattoos are beautiful nonetheless, even if it’s regrettable later on..I’m sure one can remember where they were in their lives when getting a particular tattoo. If you want it and you love it, go for it! 🙂

Haha good to see it’s not just me who has an anti-tattoo mother! I think as soon as I figure out what exactly I want it to say (currently oscillating between a line in French or Latin) I’ll go and get it done. Having something done on your back sounds beautiful, I think tattoos on women there look lovely & feminine 🙂

ooh I am always so torn on tattoos, sometimes they can look so sexy but I always think what its going to look like when I am 50 *shudder*

Totally. That’s kind of why I’m thinking probably on my ribs – it’ll be hidden most of the time & hopefully that area won’t suffer too much from sagging! I always think that when I see people with really prominent tattoos – what is it going to look like when everything’s all wrinkly?!

Your blog is really cute. I say no on tattoos they have become all too common place. I was in Sweden this summer and noticed all the absolutely beautiful women did not have tattoos, it was refreshing especially since almost every other person has them here in SF. I am sooo happy I never did it. But then again to each is own.
I told my friend to wait a year and then see if you still want one, she did and did not get one.

Thanks! And am still deliberating, I have a Latin quote I like but I’m still not 100% on the whole thing – until I am there’s no way I’m getting it done. I know what you mean about SF – just yesterday I saw a woman, dressed relatively normally, with a beer bottle tattooed on her calf! Interesting…
